Our Story
Building Community. Inspiring Creativity. Encouraging Collaboration.
ZOMA House is a community art studio, event venue, and storefront in Uptown Minneapolis run by a team of local artists. We aim to serve as a gathering space for Twin Cities artists and community members to create, connect, and collaborate through arts-based programming and events. We hope to facilitate intergenerational connection, with events targeting emerging and professional artists, and quarterly family events open to all ages.
Since opening our doors in January, ZOMA House has welcomed musicians, filmmakers, visual artists, DJs, culinary artists and other creatives looking for a place to share their work and connect with others. ZOMA House produces its own events, such as screenings, live concerts, and artist talks, and the space can be rented out by individuals looking to host public and private events. ZOMA House also houses an art shop, selling work from local and global Black and underrepresented artists.
At ZOMA House, art lives here. It lives in the conversations had with strangers, the ideas shared with collaborators, and the stories exchanged between friends. It is our utmost priority to ensure our guests feel safe, seen, and respected because everyone belongs in this house.
ZOMA House is a 2025 Recipient of the Arts & Culture Vibrant Storefront initiative, funded by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department.
