Our Story

Building Community. Inspiring Creativity. Encouraging Collaboration.

ZOMA House is a community art studio, workspace, and event venue collectively run by 3 Black-led arts organizations in the Twin Cities. The collectives under the umbrella of ZOMA House are ZOMA Studios, NEO Narrative, and The Heartcraft Collective. ZOMA Studios is an animation studio and production company, NEO Narrative is a media collective for Black artists in the Twin Cities, and The Heartcraft Collective is a craft wellness business.

ZOMA House aims to serve as a gathering space for Twin Cities artists and communities to create, collaborate, and connect through art-based programming, events, and workshops. We hope to facilitate intergenerational connection with events targeting emerging and professional artists, and quarterly family events open to all ages. In addition, we plan to support the local art community through our consignment shop with a rotating selection of locally made goods and merchandise.

At ZOMA House, art lives here. It lives in the conversations had with strangers, the ideas shared with collaborators, and the stories exchanged between friends. It is our utmost priority to ensure our guests feel safe, seen, and respected because everyone belongs in this house.

ZOMA House is a 2025 Recipient of the Arts & Culture Vibrant Storefront initiative, funded by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department.
