Jo Rochelle, a Jamaican-American writer-director originally from Minneapolis, returns for one night for an intimate public conversation on story, craft, artistic voice, and what it takes to build a creative life that can actually move through the world.

Through selected work and conversation, we’ll trace Jo’s path from theater to web series, independent film, and television writing, including her feature Jasmine is a Star, her work on the TV series Good Trouble, and her latest feature, Dead Deer High, which premiered at SXSW 2026.
