The first edition of Monoyo Film Club, an evening of film and conversation centering Black queer stories from across the diaspora, will feature a screening of ìfé: The Sequel, directed and produced by Pamela Adie. Years after their love story began, Ife and Adaora cross paths again in Lagos and have to decide what they’re willing to risk to choose each other. It’s a Nigerian love story about queer women, made in a country where stories like this are still pushed out of sight.
After the film, there will be a recorded conversation with the director, followed by a guided discussion about love and relationships for queer folks.
